A verified flow rate is the line in your report that makes the spore count defensible.
The flow rate of the pump sets the volume of air sampled – and with it the spores/m³ in the lab result. A pump running off target over- or understates the concentration. The AirTrap® Calibration Kit lets you verify 15 l/min on site in under a minute: open the case, connect the kit to the AirTrap® XL cassette, read the float. Pre-assembled, factory-verified, no adapters to hunt for and no recurring calibration to schedule.

Unlike a generic flow meter, the kit is a complete, factory-verified assembly with an AirTrap® inlet adapter developed by Apacor. It connects directly to the cassette – no extra tubing, adapters or pump-specific hardware.

Use in 5 steps
- Prepare the pump: pump off; check tubing for cracks, kinks or dirt.
- Connect the kit to the AirTrap® sampling cassette; make sure the connections are airtight.
- Start the pump and set the target flow (15 l/min).
- Verify: let the pump stabilise for a few seconds, read the flow on the scale, adjust if needed.
- Finish: pump off, remove the kit – your pump is verified and ready.

Why pump calibration matters
The flow rate determines the actual volume of air sampled and therefore the quantitative value of the lab result.
